China's 2026 CCC certification change for power banks: mark plus QR code

  • 🔹 Following an official Chinese announcement, the CCC certification scheme for power banks is being upgraded from 2026. Newly certified products must carry both the CCC mark and a QR code to be sold, and the requirement applies in full from 2027.
  • 🔹 Transition period: products certified before March 2026 can still be used and carried. But if the marking is missing or unclear, the unit may still be stopped at security.

🔋 Do iWALK power banks meet the new scheme?

iWALK's main power bank products have been planned around the 2026 requirements, including:

  • SWITCH quick-swap power bank
  • LINK modular power bank
  • MAGO magnetic power bank with built-in cable

These were certified under CCC after 2026, and future production will carry the CCC mark and traceability QR code in line with the current regulations.

🧭 Using your power bank with confidence

Products certified before March 2026 and already on the market can still be used and carried during the transition. There is no need to replace one on that basis alone.

That said, a unit with no CCC marking, with marking that has worn illegible, or from a model on an official recall list may still be stopped at security.

When buying or travelling with a power bank, check:

  • It carries a CCC certification mark
  • The marking is clear and complete, not worn
  • It is not from an unidentified source
  • Capacity does not exceed 100Wh (about 27,000mAh)
  • It travels in hand luggage, never checked
