Apple's autumn 2026 event: everything announced

01｜iPhone 18 Pro: A20 Pro and a variable aperture
The headline product. Apple concentrated the upgrades on the A20 Pro chip, cameras, AI, cooling and battery life, including a 48MP main camera with variable aperture.
02｜Apple Watch Series 12: health sensing goes further

The biggest change is the new Health Sensing System. Paired with the S11 chip it takes heart rate and HRV readings more frequently, and Apple has introduced a Readiness score.
Readiness combines recent activity, training load, vital signs and sleep into a daily score from 0 to 10, with guidance — Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready or Go For It — to help you judge whether today is for recovering, holding steady or pushing.

04｜AirPods 5: ANC on both models

Probably the most immediately noticeable upgrade this year. Both AirPods 5 models now have active noise cancellation, with a redesigned acoustic architecture and a new generation of adaptive EQ.
Apple states the open-fit ANC is up to about 1.5× more effective than the AirPods 4 ANC model. Live translation and Siri AI are both supported.
With ANC on, the standard model runs about four hours per listen; the wireless charging case version about five. Pre-orders from 9:00am on 11 September, on sale 18 September.
05｜iOS 27, watchOS 27 and Siri AI
Beyond the hardware, Apple's larger play remains Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, extending further into iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods — personal context understanding, voice interaction and live translation among them.
