Not just stronger airflow — cold you can carry with you.
An ordinary fan only moves air; on a hot day what blows back is still warm. The Ice Blade brings high-speed airflow and TEC semiconductor cooling together: up to 11,500rpm, 6.3m/s, cooling plate 46% larger. 100 steps, five levels.

This product has a built-in lithium-ion battery rated at 14.8Wh, below the 100Wh carry-on threshold used by most airlines. Actual rules follow each airline’s latest announcements.
Not necessarily. More airflow does move air faster, but how cool it feels also depends on the air channel, how concentrated the output is, how far away you hold it, and whether a cooling function is involved.
That is why we do not compare handheld fans on peak rpm or maximum airflow alone. The weight in your hand, whether the airflow feels pleasant, and whether the noise is noticeable often decide more about whether a fan suits daily use.
An ordinary handheld fan relies on airflow to carry heat away from the skin; a model with a semiconductor cooling plate adds a way to touch the skin directly for localised cold.
Neither is simply better. If you need to cool down quickly while commuting, the cooling function is more noticeable; if it mostly sits on a desk running for long stretches, airflow feel, battery life and noise may matter more.
Fan speed, the cooling function, the environment and battery condition all affect real battery life. Running at high speed for long periods, or using the cooling function at the same time, drains power faster than simply blowing air at a low speed.
So it is not useful to remember only the maximum figure. A better approach is to work out which speed you normally use and whether you often run the cooling function, then compare that with the usage conditions on the product page.
Mostly by how you will use it. To use it while walking, weight and grip matter. On an office desk, stable support, angle and noise matter. If you want your hands free, a lanyard or neck-hanging design is more convenient.
Many fans look similar on paper, but the difference you actually feel every day usually comes down to how you hold it, where you put it and how long you run it.
A small temperature change is not unusual while the motor, battery and electronics are running. But if the temperature is clearly abnormal, or comes with a burning smell, a deformed casing, charging problems or anything else unusual, stop using it.
If something seems wrong, switch it off, stop charging, leave it somewhere safe to cool, then contact customer service. With a lithium-battery product, "different from usual" is itself reason enough to stop and check.
Most handheld fans on the market can be carried in the cabin under the rules, but what really needs checking is the built-in lithium battery and your airline’s latest regulations.
Before travelling, check the battery markings and that the product looks normal, and pack it in your carry-on. The GUXON site has a full guide to taking handheld fans on flights — worth reading before you travel rather than going on memory.
