You finally have a handheld fan to get you through the summer — but how do you clean it without damaging it?

Three simple steps to clean the GUXON handheld cooling fan safely, so the airflow stays strong all season. 🍃

Step 1｜Switch it off and unplug it

Turn the power off and make sure the USB-C cable is disconnected, to avoid a shock or damage.

Step 2｜Clear the air outlet

  • Use a clean soft brush (a make-up brush or keyboard brush) to sweep dust from the blades and outlet.
  • You can also use a hairdryer on cold air only, blowing gently into the outlet from outside to push the dust out.

⚠️ Never use hot air — it can damage the semiconductor cooling module inside.

Step 3｜Wipe the cooling plate and body

  • Use a slightly damp soft cloth (a lens cloth works well) or an alcohol wipe to gently clean the cooling plate, handle and body.
  • Finish with a dry cloth so no moisture is left behind.

⚠️ What not to do

  1. Do not rinse it under water.
  2. Do not force the casing open.
  3. Do not poke anything sharp inside.

💡 GUXON handheld fans have a built-in lithium battery. Keep them away from water and heat to avoid damage or a short circuit.

📍 How often: a dust-down every one to two weeks keeps the airflow strong and extends the fan's life.
